  • I’m really excited to share this fun craft idea with you today. I have been working on waterproof project now for over two years off and on, trying to come up with a way to conceal the hideous gold color of the “medicine bottle”.

Now though, thanks to my persistence, I think the medicine bottle disappears.

In the past, I tried decoupage (which works), but, I couldn’t figure out how to protect the artwork from coming off when used or dropped into water.

Although I had been making use of the lids, I just couldn’t figure out how I could get craft paint or any other type of art medium to stick to the container, in order to make them suitable for outdoor use; whether it be protecting the art from water, camping, beach, or boating.

So, I am proud to say, I have finally come up with a solution that makes them much more suitable for use in these ways.

Lets face it, while the containers themselves are so useful, who wants to be caught dead with ugly medicine bottle containers on the beach? Well, some may not care.. But if you are anything like me, you will want to see colorful beautiful art whenever possible.

At least this way you can put your art talent to work,to view or show off while you store your money, extra hair clips and bands, camera disc cards, or whatever you want to keep safe right inside.

Aside from the paint & a few products used to decorate them, they are free!

Although I’ve since discovered they are NOT 100% waterproof, they are close enough. They do float, and unless submerged and held down under water, whatever is inside should be protected. So whatever you choose to store inside, if they were to be dropped into the water, or packed into a bag for the beach they will be perfect little container for anything you may want to store in them.

This is a fantastic DIY, recycle craft project you can do with kids or make for family and friends.

I have many more ideas for these containers, and will be holding an art contest in the near future . I want to see who can create the best! I will be offering lots of unique crafts to share, so please be sure you subscribe.

For your convince I have added products you can purchase through amazon if you choose. I am an affiliate ;so it does help me out if you purchase any supply through the links I provide.
Although I wouldn’t make much on an individual item, all product purchased this way can add up, and everything earned will be much appreciated.

We have tips from Lincoln Tech, Gumout, and Duplicolor. There’s dragstrip testing, a live punk band, bad jokes, great parts, and lots of inside info into the cars that have appeared on Roadkill.
