  • – Cheap CNC parts

Took this video on the day I got the CNC up and going. Sorry for the shaky camera, I had one hand holding the camera and the other hand jogging the machine on the keyboard.

Took me a year and a bit to get it to where you see now. Still got more to do before I can start cutting guitars and such. Its travel is X: 490, Y: 840, Z: 130. 4x 270 oz-in steppers powered by Gecko G540. Trapezoidal (Metric Acme) 2 start leadscrews, CNC router parts linear carriages.

Enjoy. Hopefully in the next few months I’ll be putting up some nice vids of doing my first cuts then perhaps later on a video of me cutting out my first guitar.

Please remember to check out my other videos and subscribe if you want to see more CNC related videos. Thanks for watching!

Visit my online store For the best collection of videos on tig welding aluminum click here This is the first in series of videos about how to tig weld aluminum.
My plan is to kick it off with this video and then let the comments dictate the direction I take from here.
The reason is what I think folks want to see, may not actually be what they want to see.
So comments and questions about how to tig weld aluminum will help.
There is a lot to talk about.
things like tungsten electrodes..type and size ( i like 2% lanthanated for everything and 3/32 takes care of most of my daily welding)
shielding gases …argon is best to start but if you begin to specialize in thicker aluminum, it might make sense to use a blend of argon and helium…or use some of the newer blends like stargon AL from praxair.

Below are some products that I don’t carry, but I use them in my videos and can vouch for their quality.

    Lincoln Viking 3350 w/4C

    Lincoln Square Wave TIG 200

    Lincoln Power MIG 210 MP

    AHP Alpha TIG 200X

    AHP Alpha 160ST
