Here I used spray mount to coat a Laserscribe disc with repositionable adhesive. I made a little circle out of card stock to mask out the inner portion of the disc so that it wouldn’t get any adhesive on it. This is so the adhesive doesn’t screw with the Lightscribe reading the disc. Discard the card stock masking disc once adhesive is applied. Then just stick your substrate onto the disk and put the disc into the Laserscribe with the graphite oxide facing down. I did a search on google for ‘black square’ and used that as my background for the disc in the Laserscribe printing software. Basically, I printed the entire disc surface black. I printed 6 times. In the paper it states that the number of times it’s hit with a laser results in a “significant and controllable change in conductivity” and they laser treated theirs 6 times. That’s basically it for the graphene. Next up will be experiments with different separators and electrolytes.
