NEVER bring your red and black wires together. It can cause sparks, fire, electric shocks or an explosion!
Also, I am not responsible for any damage done to your Xbox 360, or any of its components. Use these tips at your own risk!

Notice my controller does not turn on with the white battery pack.
If you do not have a battery pack at all, you have two options. The first option is to use regular batteries (considering you’re missing one of the battery cartridges).
Plug two batteries in like so, and pop two or three pennies in at the top to bridge the current.
The second option is to use a charging cable with a USB port on the opposite end.
My battery pack is completely dead, and needs a charge (or I would like to use my controller without any batteries)
I used the charger from my old motorola phone, but virtually any cell phone charger with a usb hook up at the end will do.
Cut the wires out with a box cutter blade or any thin blade u have, and expose about half a centimeter of the black and red wires inside the charging cable (ignore white and green wires, or any other color wires as they are for data transfers.)
Cover each wire with aluminum foil to increase surface area, and plug the black wires into the far left 2 prongs, and the red wires into the far right 2 prongs where the charge and play kit originally plugged into.
Plug the USB part into the xbox Only, or a charging port of that equivalent voltage.
If you’re trying to charge a battery pack that won’t charge, Take a paperclip or binder clip, bend its appendages to be just less than a centimeter apart, and touch the 2nd and 5th prong on the battery simultaneously (it may get hot) and wait until the battery has completely discharged. (Paper clip or binder clip stops getting hot)
As you can see, my dead controller now turns on, and incase I don’t have a battery pack,
I could have used this same method, and not had any batteries at all!
Remember to keep the controller hooked up to the xbox itself so the controller does not receive too much electricity, and burn out.
