Today we’re building a lower weight takedown bow, perfect for travel. It’s a 25-30 pound bow, pretty much identical to the ones I built with my friends. It’s also a modification of a bow from my Simple PVC Bows book.
This bow is coming with me on my trip to Colorado, a good opportunity to see how colder temps affect flattened PVC bows. This one is mainly for backyard shooting with family, though it is fairly quick for its weight. When broken down, it easily fits in my suitcase with a set of arrows.
Thanks for watching and enjoy!
The heating trough is made of a non-conductive base like cardboard or wood shaped like a gutter or round tube, covered in a reflective material like aluminum foil or flashing.
