Four Ways To Make Pizza In The Great Outdoors

    Grilled Pizza

    INGREDIENTS
    Pizza dough
    Olive oil
    Sauce
    Toppings
    Charcoal grill

    PREPARATION
Get your grill hot and ready.
Place pizza dough directly on the grill. Grill for 5 minutes or until the base is golden brown. (Make sure you rub oil on the grates to prevent sticking)
Brush on olive oil and flip the dough.
Place desired topping on the pizza and cover the grill. (If the grill does not have a cover then create a tent with aluminum foil to cover the pizza.)
Cook for 10 minutes or until the dough is fully cooked through.
Let it sit for a couple minutes and enjoy!

    Tortilla Pizza

    INGREDIENTS
    Tortilla
    Sauce
    Toppings
    Charcoal grill

    PREPARATION
Get your grill hot and ready.
On a sheet of aluminum foil place one sheet of tortilla and add your desired toppings.
With another sheet of foil crease the edges and create a foil pack.
Place on the grill and cook for 5 minutes.
Careful when opening the foil pack (hot steam).
    Slice it up and enjoy!

    Cast Iron Pizza

    INGREDIENTS
    Cast iron
    Olive oil
    Sauce
    Toppings
    Charcoal grill

    PREPARATION
Cover the pan with olive oil and place the pizza dough evenly onto the cast iron.
Place it on the hot grill and cook for 5 minutes.
Brush some olive oil onto the dough and flip.
Put your desired toppings on the dough and cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the dough is cooked through.
Carefully take it out of the cast iron and cut into desired pieces and enjoy!

    Dutch Oven Pizza

    INGREDIENTS
    Dutch oven
    Olive oil
    Sauce
    Toppings
    Hot charcoal briquettes

    PREPARATION
Oil the inside of your dutch oven.
Place the pizza dough and your desired topping on the dough.
On a flat dirt surface place 12-20 hot and ready coals on the ground in the shape of the base of the dutch oven.
Place the dutch oven directly on top of the hot coals.
Place more hot coals on the top to cover the lid.
Let it cook for 15 minutes or until the dough is fully cooked.
Carefully take the coals off the lid and remove from heat.
Take out the pizza and enjoy!

This is a continuation from my earlier coil-on-plug how-to video. I was troubleshooting an ignition problem where I couldn’t boost over 14 PSI without misfiring or backfiring despite having an ignition amplifier, and this is what worked to completely resolve my troubles.

There’s lots of information about what parts work well on a 4g63 (and their relevance) as well as lots of reports about people having ignition problems once they’re installed. I noticed that there’s not really any instruction available regarding ideal methods for trimming the longer Chrysler boot down to the size and shape for a 4g63 setup. Some of this could be due to the depth of various COP mounting plates, but this video is intended as an effort to help fill that void regardless of why.

If the boots are not trimmed properly, then as combustion chamber pressure increases, the possibility of the spark arcing from the plug into the plug well is possible. This can happen on improperly insulated plugs, or as a result of an old worn boot. The solution if your coil resistance is good… is to run down to NAPA and buy yourself a set of new boots. They come with new springs. They just need to fully-sleeve the spark plug’s ceramic insulator, and make good electrical contact internally. If air can get in and out, so can spark.

FYI: When inspecting older worn-out boots, wherever spark leaks through leaves a white spot.
