    Good insulation properties, current technology enables the
    reduction of the thermal conduction U-factors (heat loss rate) of
    a normal aluminium frame from over 4,5 down to 3W/m2 K.

    Application in a wide range of temperatures (from – 30° C
    to + 210° C). Nowadays a good aluminium window system must
    be anodised or treated with powder paint, this means that the
    assembled frame has to pass such operation which takes 15/20
    min at 200°C, without undergoing any distortion.

    avoid internal stress that compromises the mechanical resistance

    thermoplastic materials, among which the best solution is a
    techno-polymer based on PA 6.6 reinforced with 25% fibreglass.
    Once identified the raw material,
    the extrusion technology can be developed for the efficient
    production of the joint profile.

    Single screw extruder is the best solution
    to process PA + 25% fibreglass.
    28:1 L/D ratio is suggested for a good melting of the
    material; an accurate temperature control of the profile
    is a must to keep a good tolerance on the final profile.
    A special attention is given to problems due to wearing.
    Adding 25% fibreglass to the material, special steel
    and treatment must be used to reduce the wearing on
    barrel and screw surface.

    A particular screw design allows good performance and
    the possibility to use up to 20% regrind material without
    reducing the line performance and the final quality of
    the profile.

    To achieve a good product, the extrusion technology
    is a key point, only a great experience can guarantee
    a good result .The kind of the raw material and the
    required tolerances on the final product led to a
    sophisticated multi-exit extrusion technology to achieve
    high output.According to required hourly output and to
    profile shape, 4 or 8 exit dies are used.

    The size and output of the extruder are chosen according
    to the required capacity of the line. The mainly used
    extruders are EA 60, EA 70 and EA 90
